Erich will be making a presentation on using Mule Source May 19th at 5:30 for this month's AITP Meeting.  The meeting will be held at the Fairlawn-Bath branch of the Akron Public Library.

Mule Source is the leading OpenSource implementation of an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).  What that means to non-techies (like me) is that this tool will allow applications that are not alike to share information.  How this helps businesses is that by using this type of tool, they can link applications (investments) together to extend the life of the applications and to streamline business processes. An example is that if you have a resource currently entering information from one system to another, this process can be automated.  Thus freeing up that resource to provide other valuable services to your organization.  The use of this type of technology is especially useful in an economy where we are all hunkering down and watching what we spend, but still want to add efficiencies and compete on a higher level.  You will be poised and ready to handle new volumes of business because applications can be linked internally and externally while they can remain independent of each other.

Please join us on the 19th from 5:30 to 8:30 at 3101 Smith Road, Akron, OH, 44333.  The cost is free.  Reservations are not required, but are appreciated.
